2- Day Loei Package

Day 01 Loei – Wang Saphung

In the early afternoon, you will be picked up at Loei airport. Approximately a 20 - minute drive to the village of Wang Saphung. You will start with a biking-tour around the farmer village (or if you don't want to bike or you are not able to bike, we will take care for a traditional "Song Taew" transportation). You will not spot many tourists in this village, the local are happy to welcome you in their houses or just want to say hello and take some photos with you. Bike quietly along the village, lay eyes on rice fields and the way of life of the local farmers. You will also visit some Thai farmer families at their old traditional wooden houses as well a small traditional Thai kindergarten school (not on holidays and weekends). Then it’s time to visit the Sirila Tent Camp. The last 2 km is an off road and we will use bikes to reach the farm (or by tractor). The farm is fully self-supporting, there's no electricity (only some solar) and they manage to  pump their own water. It’s amazing to see how they can do so many things all by themselves. After arrival, there will be a special welcome by the Thai farmers family and a special welcome drink.

Walk around the farm and receive an explanation on what is growing here. The plantations include agar wood trees, pineapples, dragon fruit, mango, coffee, cashew nuts, date palms, macadamia trees and much more.  It will take you about 20 to 30 minutes before you will be back at "The Hut" for your BBQ. If you are lucky enough, you will experience a spectacular sunset. When darkness falls, a campfire will be set, torches and candles will be lit up which creates a romantic ambiance. Have a goodnight's sleep in a comfy safari tent.

Day 02 Wang Saphung – Chiang Khan

Wake up at 7:30  am and enjoy a tasty breakfast within a peaceful surrounding at the farm. It's time to say goodbye to the farmer family after breakfast and set direction for Chiang Khan (90 km), one of the most authentic and preserved villages in Thailand. Located on the banks of the Mekong River, Chiang Khan is a village that will take you back in time! Beautiful teak wooden guesthouses and many wooden houses will give you the right impression about the easy way of lifestyle in this special part of Thailand.  Explore the village with its narrow, authentic streets. Embark on a 1-hour boat ride over the Mekong River which will take you to Kheng Khut Khu, one of the most stunning viewpoints over the mighty Mekong River and Laos. Around noon, have lunch and enjoy a dazzling view over The Mekong River and Laos. Right after lunch, head to Udon Thani (a 3-hour drive). The road goes  along the Mekong river and relish into dramatic panoramas. Around 5 pm, you will be dropped of at Udon Thani Airport (or Udon Thani Railway station). From Udon Thani, you can fly to Bangkok or Chiang Mai or you can also take the night train (sleeping berth’s) to Bangkok. (train or flight tickets are not included)
